Padmaza Talukdar is a PhD research scholar in The Energy and Research Institute (School of Advanced Studies) based in New Delhi. Her research focuses on the dynamics and interactions of the multitude of governance structures involved in biodiversity conservation in the northeastern region of India, with a specific focus on community conserved areas. Her areas of interest lie in the epistemologies, practices, and politics of biodiversity conservation, and its evolution since the imperial times. While her PhD research seeks answers to such questions, her broad thematic area of interest remains to be the governance structures of both conservation and climate change. She holds a Masters degree in Environment Management from Forest Research Institute, Dehradun.
