Dr. Rupamanjari Sinha Ray is an Academician, Researcher and a Consultant who has been associated with higher education since 1998 after she completed her Masters in Economics from Jadavpur University. She was a UGC-NET PhD scholar of the same University and awarded PhD in 2005. She has been associated with Management schools throughout her career so far. Currently she is an Assistant Professor in Economics Area at MDI Gurgaon. She has been working with MDI Gurgaon since 2008. She has been engaged in Management teaching and training for fifteen years. Her Research Areas and publications are mainly based on Development and Environmental Economics. She has published papers in the areas of Conflict between International Trade and Environmental norms, Sustainability, CSR, Common Service Centres, SEZs, MSMEs and other Developmental related issues in national and international journals of repute. To her credit she has co-authored a book on CSR. She is a life member of Indian Economic Association. She has also been a Consultant in various evaluation studies of development related schemes of companies and Government of India. She was involved in consulting projects with Hindustan Copper Limited, Vodafone, Fifteenth Finance Commission and Ministry of Jal Shakti. Dr. Sinha Ray has always been aiming at changes in society in all her endeavours. Her goal in life has been to contribute towards social development and sustainability.
