Dr. Nupur Chowdhury is Assistant Professor of Law at the Centre for the Study of Law and Governance, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), Delhi, India. She completed her B.A. (Hons.) in Political Science (LSR, Delhi University); LL.B. from (Campus Law Centre, Faculty of Law) Delhi University, LL.M. in International and European Law, University of Amsterdam and PhD in Law and Regulation from University of Twente, Netherlands. Prior to this she was an Assistant Professor at the Jindal Global Law School and Associate Fellow at the Resources and Global Security Division, The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI). She teaches courses on Political Science, Constitutional History, Research Methodology, Environmental law and Law and Technology. She has undertaken research projects in natural resources law, environment impact assessment, health regulation and regulation of emerging technologies. She is a member of the IUCN Commission on Environmental Law and of the TERI Institutional Ethics Committee. She is also member of the Transdisciplinary Research Cluster on Plural Healthcare (TRCPH) and Co-coordinator, Transdisciplinary Research Cluster Frugality Studies (TRCFS) in JNU.
