Saradindu Bhaduri is Associate Professor at the Centre for Studies in Science Policy (CSSP) at Jawaharlal Nehru University. His broad area of researh interest is innovation and development. He is currently engaged with research projects on frugal innovations, intellectual property rights and technology policy. He did his PhD in economics from the Centre for Studies in Diplomacy, International Law and Economics (now Centre for International Trade and Development), JNU and has been a Post Doctoral Fellow in Evolutionary Economics at the Max Plank Institute of Economics, Jena, Germany. He has held the Prince Claus Chair in Frugal Innovation, Development and Equity at the International Institute of Social Studies (of Erasmus University Rotterdam, The Netherlands) during 2015-17, where he is currently a Professor (honorary). Professor Bhaduri has published widely in academic journals, and supervised 20 PhD scholars. Currently, He is a member of the Trans-disciplinary Research Cluster on Pluralist Health Care (TRCPHC), and Foundig Coordinator of Trans-disciplinary Reseatch Cluster in Frugality Studies (TRCFS) at JNU.  He has co-edited “Informal Sector Innovations: insigts from the global south” (Routledge, UK) in 2016.
